Are We Really Addicted to Oil?

I saw a commercial this morning that asked and answered this question with a resounding “Yes”. The media has decided that we need to really start conserving our natural resources and therefore become less dependent upon foreign oil. My response is “Duh”. I grew up with the whole concept of conservation. I turn off the lights when I leave a room. I turn off the car when I run inside 7-Eleven for a Slurpee®. I bring my own bags to the grocery store. I try in every possible way to conserve all of our resources. Have you considered vehicles that run on alternative fuels? There are vehicles that run on biodiesel (vegetable oil, animal fat and alcohol) and ethanol (the same type of alcohol found in alcoholic beverages) can be made from barley, beets, corn, cotton, fruit, hemp, molasses, potato, straw, sugar cane and sweet potatoes. Europe makes great strides towards living green

At the 2009 Geneva Motor Show Swiss car maker Protoscar SA unveiled the LAMPO – a full size sport electric cabriolet and can provide over 200km (124+ miles) of travel distance between charges. How did Europe get so far ahead of us when it comes to going green? The Swiss have developed an efficient system for charging electric vehicles, hmm, food for thought.

Do I need a special license to go green?

NmG’s remind me of cute little cartoon cars. 3 wheeled electric cars are great for around town errands. With speeds of up to 75mph you could drive on the freeway by why run the risk of being “played”. Would be nice if there was room for more than one person, I think my dog would love riding in this car.
